TKO Productions of New Orleans, Inc. was formed in 1997 when owner and founder, P.J. Hahn, had an idea to bring back boxing to the New Orleans area. New Orleans, in years past, was famous for hosting a number of major boxing events as well as equally famous homegrown boxers.
The first fight produced by TKO Productions was on a local riverboat casino using the third deck of the facility. No one had ever attempted to stage a boxing event on a riverboat and the concept was very unique. Hahn remembers that first time, " There were a tremendous amount of obstacles we had to over come. However, in the end it produced a sell out crowd and the start of many exciting boxing venues, including future sell outs, for that location". The riverboat casino also became host to a number of WIBF Championship fights, produced by TKO Productions, drawing national exposure.

Today, TKO Productions is staging numerous boxing events and is working with countless major television networks, including Pay-Per View, SHOWTIME, FOX and others.
